My Take on the Kony Incident
yes he is an awful man. yes he should be stopped. NO the US should not be involved in anyway even if its just 100 troops. the first shipment we sent to vietnam was 50 and was basically the same idea and look how that turned out. look to history, foreign affairs arent our thing. that 100 soldiers will make the US a target for this man. our national security should not be put at risk for this issueREMEMBER KOREA? REMEMBER IRAQ? REMEMBER IRAN?
i know everyone says they are just kids but what do you think the Somalian pirates are? or perhaps 50% of al queda? or maybe the taliban?
they should not be putting pressure on the US government to solve this issue, we have plenty of our own issues in our own country. if they want help they should go to the United Nations. it is their job to deal with things like this, not the United States’ we are not the big brother of the world.
